COGNITIVE FLOW AND LEARNING M3U3A3

I experience cognitive flow in two areas all the time. .

The first, doing mathematics in any form. Whether I am teaching my kids or practicing myself. I feel the logic sense applied in doing mathematics is one of the only activity I do which is truly logical to my senses. Most of the time I find myself uncomfortable and lost in the world just because I cannot relate to the illogic being applied. I have been advised and told by many intellectuals that I have to stop applying logic to everything that is being done and  in the world nothing is black and white. I basically get all the books for the entrance examinations of different streams in India. In my free time I love to do differentiation, Integration, Algebra. I love it so much that I feel like growing up all over again, going through the classes and learning these topics once again as if I have never done them before.

Second one is when I am creating stuff with resin. I am an active crafter. I make recycled paper, paper beads, and all kids of stuff with resin. I have an active Personal Learning Platform for this since I do not have an option to learn it directly anywhere here and I don’t get any books. My favorite is Little Windows. It is a site where they sell al the stuff for doing resin craft and teach different techniques as well. Apart from this, there are many you tube channels which have amazing ideas. This particular activity not only engrosses me to limits but also helps me financially to finance my fees for doing the Teach-Now certification.

Every time I am in my workshop, the time just flies. I feel that is basically because I am the master of everything. I decide what I want to craft, I decide what medium I want to use, I decide what colors I am attracted to on the particular day. There is nothing to stop me or influence me about something I decide to do in my craft. It excites me to wait and see what I have created, how the shape has come out, how the effects the colors have shown. I love the challenges I face to create something different or particular that someone wants me to customize. I love to experiment new styles, new mediums, new colors. Also I feel I make a difference in all my customers lives by providing them something they won’t get anywhere in the world, specially when I do different stuff with their personal pictures and personal items that I design in resin and they can preserve them forever. Another thing I feel I love about this activity is no risk. What is the worst that’s going to happen if I mess u a particular project… I start again.
